There is a great diversity of flora and fauna in the region of Ladakh with fauna ranging from 225 species of birds, tibetan wolves also called Shangku, Eurasian Lynx, wild yak, ibex, tibetan wild ass and the predators snow-leopard. There is also a vast diversity of flora over the Indus and Changhang valleys such as the Polygonum aviculare, Atriplex crassifolia, Corydalis flabellata, Caragana pygmaea, Capparis spinosa, Echinops cornigerous, Ephedra gerardiana, Physochlaina praealta and Peganum harmala to name a few.
The ice-walls and the mountains dividing the Indus valley make up for mind-blowing pictures with snow deserts, snow clad mountains, green pastures for miles and huge water bodies all over the valley.
Getting to Leh, Ladakh has become very easy with several daily flights during the summer season and fewer flights during the harsh winter months. The more adventurous lot can also opt to take the road with the NH 1 connecting Srinagar to Leh and the Manali-Leh highway, both operational in the summer season. The winter sees the roads to Ladakh blocked due to heavy snowfall.
After careful observation and closely studying the tourist trends and preferences, we have curated some out of the box experiences in the region.
